Player Elements Always Visible on Video

The player elements at the bottom (timeline, time, volume, play/pause) seem to always be present on screen and covers part of the video.

Should these disappear unless there is mouse movement / is this a bug? If not a bug, can we make the player timeline elements optional? It is covering part of the video - see example (i.e. the ad playback countdown overlay)
